- Zoriana Kivsa
- February 2, 2025
On Thursday, January 31, Vyacheslav Likhachev, head of Ukraine’s antisemitism and xenophobia monitoring group, presented a report by UCSJ (Union of Councils for Jews in the Former Soviet Union) on antisemitism in Ukraine and Russia over the past three years.
Students of the International Interdisciplinary Certificate Program in Jewish Studies attended the presentation and later took part in a discussion.
In his speech, Likhachev highlighted how antisemitic narratives and stereotypes persist – and sometimes intensify – amid geopolitical tensions. He emphasized that the report serves both as a wake-up call and a roadmap for addressing these issues, offering valuable insights for policymakers, activists, and the international community in the fight against antisemitism.
